Description of skills

Boasting a robust 14-year tenure as a development engineer, I am equipped with an extensive skill set that spans across multiple technical domains. My expertise encompasses system engineering, NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), model-based development, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and both structural and system simulation. I possess specialized knowledge in turbomachinery and aerodynamics, complemented by proficiency in aeroacoustics, and I am adept in project management. My operational prowess with lithography machines is matched by my familiarity with water line acoustics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), HPC (High-Performance Computing), and flow-induced vibration.

About me:

In 2009, I graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Engineering, Mechanical Power Department, at Helwan University in Egypt. I ranked second in a class of about 500 students. I began my career as an HVAC and fire fighting engineer. My responsibilities included equipment selection, piping system calculations, detailed HVAC system design (ducts, AHU, chillers, air conditioners, filters, etc.), heat load calculations, and preparation of engineering drawings and specifications.
Due to my academic performance, I was offered a position as a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering immediately after graduation. I taught turbomachinery, power plants, hydraulic machines, fluid mechanics lab, heat transfer, and CFD for both undergraduate and Master’s students.
In 2014, I earned my Master of Science degree from the same department, specializing in wind energy. At the same time, I worked as a product manager at the only ANSYS channel partner in Egypt. This role expanded my industrial and management experience. In my first year, I increased ANSYS product sales (fluid and mechanical) in Egypt by more than 100%.
My academic and industrial experience allowed me to be one of only 42 selected DAAD scholarship recipients from 2,000 applicants. I pursued my PhD at the Institute of Aerodynamics and Gas Dynamics (IAG), University of Stuttgart—one of the world’s top institutes in this field—focusing on aerodynamics and aeroacoustics (including self-induced and inflow turbulence noise).
Afterward, I accepted a full-time position at IAG. My PhD dissertation was submitted, and the defense took place on 11.10.2021. From February 2020 to February 2022, I worked at the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS) as a technical manager of one of the EU’s largest funded projects (€8 million). The project aimed to enable Exascale computing for solving complex, costly engineering problems using high-fidelity simulations.
From April 2022 to March 2024, I worked at AVL GmbH as a development engineer in a joint project with Zeiss and ASML. My work focused on modeling the mirror cooling system and force frame of lithography machines, analyzing flow-induced vibrations and waterline acoustics to identify optimal design solutions. We used MATLAB-based control system engineering approaches for this purpose.
I am currently employed at MAHLE as an NVH expert in the pre-development department. I lead NVH pre-development projects for both internal and customer applications. My tasks include developing NVH solutions for HVAC units and thermal management modules (TMM), providing technical support from acquisition to series production, aligning specifications with customers and suppliers, selecting and applying NVH measures, and planning and evaluating tests. I also represent acoustics and vibration topics in cross-functional teams and support global MAHLE locations in developing TMM components and compressors.
