About Course

The course Introduction to Mechatronics will help young people who have completed or are continuing their schooling to look inside the smart machines and devices that surround us. You will understand how they are arranged, how management is organized and what prospects knowledge of mechanics, electronics and programming opens up for you for future work.

At the end of the course, you will know:

  • the fields of application of mechatronic systems;
  • the laws of classical electromechanics;
  • current trends in the development of electronics, measuring and computing technology, information technology.

At the end of the course Introduction to Mechatronics,  you will be able to:

  • analyze and make quantitative estimates of the parameters of mechatronic systems;
  • explain the principle of operation of various mechatronic systems;
  • choose the necessary types of mechatronic systems;
  • take into account current trends in the development of electronics, measuring and computing technology in your professional activity.

What Will You Learn?

  • Get acquainted with modern concepts of construction and application of mechatronic systems.
  • Learn how to perform the simplest calculations of the mechanical part of simple mechanisms.
  • Learn how to calculate the power of drive motors and choose the power supply systems for them that are most suitable for operating conditions.
  • Get acquainted with the structure of mechatronic systems, their individual components and the principles of choosing sensors, controllers and drives.
