| Description of skills | Based on your resume, here is a much stronger and more personal version: I am Danko Nikolić, PhD, an AI executive, principal scientist, and applied science leader based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. My professional work focuses on turning advanced machine learning research into practical, scalable, production-ready solutions for industry. Over more than 20 years, I have worked at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science, cognitive science, neuroscience, and engineering, combining deep scientific knowledge with hands-on technical implementation. My expertise includes machine learning, foundation models, large language models, time-series forecasting, structured behavioral data, transfer learning, representation learning, and enterprise AI strategy. I have designed proprietary foundation models, fine-tuned large language models, developed novel statistical and neural architectures, and built AI platforms for industrial and enterprise use cases. I work hands-on with tools and languages such as Python, C++, R, and PyTorch, while also leading teams, defining AI roadmaps, and advising executives on long-term scientific and technological strategy. A central part of my career has been translating complex research into real-world value. I have led AI and data science teams in companies such as Robots Go Mental, evocenta, savedroid, Teradata, DXC Technologies, and the Max Planck Institute. My work has included enterprise AI platforms, IT service automation, predictive maintenance, recommendation systems, portfolio optimization, power disaggregation, and domain-adaptive foundation models. I have also contributed to patented AI methods, including Guided Transfer Learning, and have published more than 100 scientific papers in neuroscience, statistics, and artificial intelligence. I enjoy sharing knowledge and mentoring others. Throughout my career, I have supervised PhD students and postdocs, mentored startups, co-organized a large AI meetup in Frankfurt, co-authored a book on data science and AI, and spoken at conferences and events including TEDx. I am comfortable explaining advanced technical topics in a clear, structured, and practical way, whether to students, engineers, business leaders, or multidisciplinary teams. What motivates me is solving technically difficult problems that require original thinking rather than simply applying existing frameworks. I am especially interested in projects where AI can create measurable value, improve decision-making, support sustainable industrial development, or accelerate scientific and engineering progress. I would be glad to contribute as a consultant and eLearning expert by supporting students, professionals, and companies with high-quality guidance in AI, machine learning, data science, applied research, and enterprise AI development. |
