Detailed Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer to take on critical responsibilities within our engineering team. The successful candidate will be involved in overseeing key activities related to auxiliary converter and battery systems for our cutting-edge rail projects, specifically focusing on the Coradia MAX OSTA platform.

Your Tasks:

  1. System Engineering for Auxiliary Converter/Battery Systems:
    • Lead and manage all system engineering activities related to auxiliary converters and battery systems.
    • Ensure the integration and functionality of these systems within the overall vehicle design.
  2. Preparation and Approval of Electrical Interface Documentation:
    • Develop, review, and approve detailed electrical interface documentation.
    • Ensure that all documentation meets the necessary standards and specifications.
  3. Customer Design Approval Documentation:
    • Prepare comprehensive documentation in German for customer design approvals.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and present it in a clear and structured format.
  4. Creation of “POWER ON” Documents:
    • Develop and finalize “POWER ON” documents necessary for the system’s initial operation.
    • Ensure all required protocols and safety checks are in place.
  5. Participation in Coordination and Commissioning Phase for Coradia MAX OSTA:
    • Actively participate in the coordination and commissioning phases.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
  6. Updating the Power Balance for the LV/MV Onboard Network:
    • Regularly update and maintain the power balance calculations for the low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) onboard networks.
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Your Profile:

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in system engineering, preferably within the rail industry.
    • Strong knowledge of auxiliary converter and battery systems.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical documentation.
    • Excellent understanding of electrical systems and interfaces.
    • Fluency in German, both written and spoken, is essential.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience:
    • Hands-on experience in system engineering activities, including design, documentation, and commissioning.
    • Previous involvement in rail vehicle projects is highly desirable.
