Mechanical Design Expert / Mechanical Design Engineer – eMobility Project (Remote)

For an ongoing eMobility development project, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Expert to support the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components and assemblies for electric mobility systems.

The role focuses on concept development, detailed mechanical design, CAD modeling, simulation support, and engineering documentation for components related to electric powertrain systems and associated mechanical structures.

This project will be conducted fully remotely via the WiredWhite Platform, in close collaboration with our engineering team.

Your Tasks:

• Develop mechanical concepts and detailed designs for components used in eMobility systems.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
• Optimize designs with respect to manufacturability, durability, weight reduction, and cost efficiency.
• Perform design validation and basic mechanical analysis where required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with electrical and system components.
• Support design reviews and iterative improvements based on simulation results and testing feedback.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and revision histories.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of mechanical design processes and engineering workflows.

Additional Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field (preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience).
• Experience in mechanical design, product development, and CAD-based engineering, ideally within eMobility, automotive, aerospace, or related industries.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following CAD tools:
  Siemens NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Autodesk tools, COMSOL, Creo Parametric, Kompas-3D, or comparable mechanical design / CAD software.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, component design, CAD modeling, and engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote engineering environment.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
