1. Introduction
In the age of intelligent healthcare and remote patient monitoring, portable physiological monitoring systems are increasingly in demand. This project presents the design and real-time development of an intelligent portable ECG and blood oxygen (SpO₂) monitoring system [1]. The system is centered around Texas Instruments’ AFE4400, an analog front-end (AFE) specifically designed for optical heart-rate monitoring and pulse oximeter applications.
This solution integrates compact, power-efficient hardware and an intuitive mobile app interface to allow real-time monitoring of ECG, heart rate (HR), and SpO₂ levels—ensuring accurate data acquisition and display, even in mobile environments [2] [3].
