Passive Components in Power Electronics: LTspice Webinar

The Role of Passive Components in Efficient Power Electronics Systems: From Theory to Live LTspice Simulation

Date Jul 29, 2026
Time 18:00 CEST
Duration 60 min

Master the fundamentals of EV on-board charger design with a live LTspice simulation!

What You Will Learn:

In this webinar, you will learn the fundamentals of on-board charger (OBC) design for electric vehicles, explore how passive components influence efficiency, EMI, safety, and system performance, and see these concepts brought to life in a live LTspice simulation.

During the webinar we will cover:

  • OBC fundamentals and its role in EV power architecture
  • How key specifications (power level, efficiency, bidirectionality) drive design decisions
  • Comparison of OBC architectures and their trade-offs
  • Why passive components make or break efficiency, size, and cost
  • EMI sources and filter design — CM/DM noise, X/Y capacitors, and chokes
  • Safety and isolation requirements for 400V/800V systems
  • Live simulation (LTspice demo)
  • Emerging trends: bidirectional charging (V2G), V2X, and WBG semiconductors

🚀 This webinar is designed for engineering students, recent graduates, and professionals who are new to power electronics or electric vehicle technology. Whether you’re studying electrical engineering, transitioning into EV development, or looking to build a stronger foundation in power converter design, you’ll gain practical insights into OBC architectures, passive component selection, EMI filter design, and emerging technologies such as bidirectional charging (V2G/V2X) and wide-bandgap (WBG) semiconductors. No advanced prior knowledge is required, making this an ideal starting point for anyone looking to enter the field of EV power electronics.

💬 You will be able to rise all your questions to our speakers in a Q&A session at the end!
