Learn how to analyze, visualize, and automate simulation data workflows using the powerful open-source platform ParaView!
What You Will Learn:
In this webinar, you will learn how to use ParaView, one of the most widely used open-source platforms for scientific visualization, to analyze, explore, and present simulation results from computational engineering workflows.
During the webinar we will cover:
- Introduction to ParaView and its role in CFD and FEA post-processing workflows
- Overview of the ParaView graphical user interface, including pipelines, views, data representations, probing tools, and color mapping
- Explanation of common simulation data types such as scalars, vectors, tensors, point
and cell data, and time-dependent datasets - Use of essential post-processing filters including slices, clips, thresholds,
contours, streamlines, glyphs, and basic field operations - Practical post-processing examples covering flow visualization, field inspection,
and quantitative analysis - Introduction to ParaView Python scripting for automating repetitive tasks and enabling
batch post-processing workflows
🚀This webinar is designed for students and researchers who are new to ParaView or scientific visualization, as well as CFD and FEA users working with tools such as ANSYS, OpenFOAM, STAR-CCM+, Abaqus, COMSOL Multiphysics, SU2, and LS-DYNA. It is also ideal for startups seeking powerful open-source visualization solutions, as well as aerospace, mechanical, and computational engineers who work with simulation data. The session is particularly valuable for professionals who currently rely on manual post-processing and want to establish a clean, structured workflow, and for anyone interested in automating visualization tasks with Python but unsure where to begin.
💬 You will be able to rise all your questions to our speakers in a Q&A session at the end!
