From Shockwaves to Transonic Buffet – Get new skills in high-speed aerodynamics using ANSYS Fluent!
What You Will Learn:
This webinar will guide you through the fundamentals of supersonic flow, using real-world examples and simulations to reveal the challenges and wonders of aerodynamics at extreme speeds.
During the webinar we will cover:
- Supersonic Flow & Shockwaves: An introduction to the core principles of compressible flow and the formation of shockwaves.
- Supersonic Wedge Case Study: We’ll analyze this fundamental case both analytically and using a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation in ANSYS Fluent.
- Shockwave-Boundary Layer Interactions: Explore this major challenge in supersonic flight, where shockwaves can cause flow separation and increase drag.
- Transonic Buffet: Conclude with an examination of this dangerous, self-sustaining oscillation that can compromise an aircraft’s structural integrity.
🚀The webinar is perfect for fluid mechanics students, aerospace enthusiasts, and anyone curious about the science behind high-speed flight. We’ll break down the fundamental concepts in a clear, easy-to-understand way.
You will be able to rise all your questions to our speakers in a Q&A session at the end!
