I am writing to express my interest in for the job posting for an Engineering Tutor. I believe I am a strong candidate given my background in biomedical engineering / data science.

During my undergraduate and graduate studies in Biomedical Engineering at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences (FH Aachen), I specialized in machine learning algorithms, multivariate analysis and FEM. I also became interested in spectroscopic measurements of dissolved organic matter and metabolites. As a project coordinator with the Institute for Bioengineering (IfB) at FH Aachen, I successfully received funding from the K1 committee to pursue my own project: Flurine. I managed a team that developed a database of human urine constituents. It concluded successfully after cataloging spectral data of urine, establishing methods to create artificial urine, and applying machine learning and multivariate analysis to decompose and extract clinical information. The code was written in MATLAB and our team published a review article on this topic.

I also collaborated on several projects, including the DLR-led project TRIPLE, aimed at detecting biosignatures on Europa. There I gained experience in project management as well as concurrent engineering. Since 2020, I’ve been consulting with Omnifinancial/Prepaire, which allowed me to hone in on technical skills, including concept and design, device calibration, and software development (Python, C++, JS, R, and PostgreSQL).

Finally, I have many years of teaching-experience from the FH Aachen, either as a teacher’s/professor’s assistant or from courses held by me in the following topics: Informatics, Mathematics (Calculus I/II), Physics/Biophysics and German. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
